This Hairband Hack Is Perfect for Days When the Bloat Comes Out of Nowhere


Here’s something we can probably all relate to – that awful bloated, crampy feeling that happens right before and during our period. We wake up in the morning feeling fine, put on our favorite pair of super skinny jeans, a cute top, and away we go.

Once we’re safely away from the house, though, that familiar bloat appears out of nowhere. (You when you feel like you’re being crushed by the jeans you fit perfectly into moments before?) And now you’ve got a nice muffin top joining the party, too.

A quick tip: Alleviate sudden bloat with a rubber band or a hair tie. 

While tracking your cycle is the best way to stay ahead of a flare-up, it’s still easy to get caught off guard. For those super important days when your symptoms come out of nowhere, break out a rubber band or a hair tie. Why do you ask? Because this little rubber mechanism can do wonders whenever you’re in a pinch. 

Unbutton your pants and loop the rubber band or hair tie through the button hole. Secure both ends to the button and voilà! This little trick can add an inch or more on the waistline of your pants! The best part? You won’t have to go home to change. This tip has saved the day numerous times for me. Hopefully, it will do the same for you.
